Bringing Wholeness to the Grieving Process
This program has two levels, with each level meeting for six
weeks. Both levels focus on grief due to loss and trauma. Each
level provides tools for coping with the grief in a healthy and
self-empowering way.

Definitions for the program:
Grief and Loss
According to Wikipedia, grief is the response to the loss of something or someone deemed important to you to which a bond of affection has been formed. Another definition is grief is the natural emotional response to the loss of someone close to you. Grief can be a strong, sometimes overwhelming emotion for people.
Examples of loss include but are not limited to:

The ending of a relationship of any kind including a friendship, a divorce or a separation

Death of a pet

Death of a loved one, expected or unexpected, including children, parents, friends, colleagues, new acquaintances, strangers

Physical and emotional changes in someone you are close to such as a loved having dementia or a new physical challenge requiring constant care

Losing a job
-
Relocating to a new town, a new neighborhood, or a new country
-
Graduating from high school, college, university or a specific program of study
-
Changes in your physical body, your moods or your appearance
-
Surgery
-
A change in your job status
-
Selling your house
-
Betrayal of any kind
Trauma
Trauma results from exposure to an incident or series of events that are emotionally disturbing or life-threatening with lasting adverse effects on the individual’s functioning and mental, physical, social, emotional, and/or spiritual well-being.
Experiences that may be traumatic include:

Physical, sexual, and emotional abuse

· Neglect of any kind at any age

· Living with a family member with mental health or substance use disorders

· Sudden, unexplained separation from a loved one
-
· Poverty
-
· Racism, discrimination, and oppression

· Violence in the community, war, or terrorism

Please note that the intention of this program is to provide support for anyone who is experiencing grief of any kind. This program does not provide medical or psychological treatment for trauma or any specific loss. However, you will be provided tools for managing your grief in healthy and loving ways.
This interactive program could be for you if:

· You are in a grieving process for any reason and would like to experience support in a safe and caring environment around your grief.

· If you are experiencing a recent or a past loss for any reason.

· If the emotional pain of the loss or trauma feels intense and unmanageable.

· If you feel a need to isolate yourself due to the emotional pain such as guilt, shame, or anger.

· If you are blaming yourself for the loss or the trauma.

· If you feel hopeless or helpless due to the experience.

· If you feel alone and lonely.
-
· If you want tools and ways to cope with all you are going through in healthy and supportive ways.

There are no rules for experiencing grief. In this program you are invited to experience your grief according to how and when your grief is showing up in your life. Your grief has an intensity and uniqueness of its own. The strong emotions that often accompanies grief might feel overwhelming. This program supports you in receiving support for your emotions without having to isolate yourself from others and be alone with your grieving process. This program gives you the opportunity to grieve openly and feel your pain while staying connected to yourself. This program shows you how to love yourself no matter what happened, or didn’t happen or is happening. You are worth the journey.
When does the course begin?
Level One, a six-week course, will meet at noon EST every Thursday beginning Feb 6th through March 13 2025 for 75 minutes each time. The course will take place on Zoom.
Level Two, a six-week course, will be offered in the evenings starting in April. The exact dates are yet to be decided.
Cost of the course:
The cost of each Level is $240.00. If residing in Canada, payment is accepted via an e-transfer to coutssd@hotmail.com. If residing in the USA paypal is the accepted form of payment. Payment in full is required before the course starts.

Course Facilitator:
DeeAndra Couts MSN, RN, is an Intuitive Counselor, Registered Nurse, an EFT Practitioner and an Integrative Mental Health Coach. She integrates her background in psychiatric nursing and transpersonal psychology to assist people in making positive and lasting changes in their lives.
She values free thinking, creative solutions, and spiritual insights. DeeAndra uses her innate intuitive abilities and her skills as a writer, speaker and intuitive counselor to empower others to understand and embrace their life’s journey from a place of respect, wisdom, and acceptance.
